Account Structure

How does the managed account structure work?

Our managed accounts are operated through OANDA Corporation's FXTrade and FXManager platforms, which we believe to be the state-of-the-art in online FX trading and investment management. These vehicles provide not only world class execution capability for our trading team, but also full transparency and control over their investments for our clients. We offer managed accounts for both individual and institutional investors. Please contact us to find out which is best for you.

INDIVIDUAL CLIENT ACCOUNTS
Clients create, fund and maintain their own individual accounts with OANDA. MatadorFX is open to both private and institutional clients with a minimum investment of $25,000.

LIMITED POWER OF ATTORNEY
By virtue of a limited power of attorney agreement, clients authorize MatadorFX to manage their account. MatadorFX can only trade on the clients' behalf and in no case has access to the funds. The LPOA can be revoked at any time and clients can withdraw funds at their discretion. Client funds are never locked-in.

MFX1 TRADING SYSTEM
OANDA's FXManager System allows MatadorFX to trade the individual client accounts as a single managed account, MFX1. Based on the individual client's total assets under management, trades are allocated to each individual account in real time. Clients can continuously monitor account activity trade by trade.

FEE STRUCTURE
MatadorFX charges a 2% per annum management fee and a 20% performance fee on new profits (highwater mark basis). The management fee is collected monthly and the performance fee is collected quarterly. Both fees are automatically deducted from the individual clients' accounts.

THE RISK OF LOSS IN FOREX TRADING CAN BE SUBSTANTIAL. YOU SHOULD, THEREFORE, CAREFULLY CONSIDER WHETHER SUCH TRADING IS SUITABLE FOR YOU IN LIGHT OF YOUR FINANCIAL CONDITION. THE HIGH DEGREE OF LEVERAGE THAT IS OFTEN OBTAINABLE IN FOREX TRADING CAN WORK AGAINST YOU AS WELL AS FOR YOU. THE USE OF LEVERAGE CAN LEAD TO LARGE LOSSES AS WELL AS GAINS. PAST PERFORMANCE IS NOT INDICATIVE OF FUTURE RESULTS.
