SEAN BARRY
Sean Barry brings over 20 years of foreign exchange trading and sales experience to MatadorFX. Throughout his career, Sean has held senior positions at global financial institutions such as Lehman Brothers, HSBC, WestLB, and Prudential Financial. On the trading side, he was responsible for market making and proprietary positioning in major and emerging market currencies. Sean actively traded spot, forwards, and NDFs on both the over-the-counter and CME futures markets. On Institutional Sales, he advised CTAs, hedge funds, asset managers, corporates, and high net worth individuals in all aspects of the foreign exchange market. His unique trading knowledge and extensive network of foreign exchange professionals allow him to add fresh perspectives to the investment strategies of MatadorFX. He attended University of Maryland in College Park, as well as Pace University in New York City, earning a Bachelor in Business Administration in International Business. Based in the United States, Sean is a registered principal with the NFA.

 

JONATHAN GOLNIK
Jon Golnik integrates foreign exchange trading experience with entrepreneurial management. He began his career in foreign exchange on the major currency desk at HSBC in New York. Jon later advanced on to senior roles at State Street Bank and AIG Trading Group, focusing on emerging market currencies and NDFs. There, he guided clients on foreign exchange markets and hedging strategies. Over the past 10 years, Jon has focused on starting and growing small businesses in both technology and retail sectors. His unique trading background, coupled with real world business experience, allows him to add investment advice and successful operational expertise to help MatadorFX grow. Jon graduated with honors from Dartmouth College with a Bachelor of Arts in History. He holds a Masters in International Economics and European Studies from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in Washington, DC as well as an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. Based in the United States, Jon is a registered principal with the NFA.


FREDERICK GREGO
Frederick Grego combines a wealth of global business and international banking experience, which he drew upon when founding MatadorFX. Starting his career in private banking with HSBC in Madrid, he soon developed a keen interest in portfolio management and trading. Frederick successfully traded European and Asian currencies for HSBC and Dresdner Bank in New York. He has also spent time as a global business head for a European pharmaceutical company. Frederick was the Chief Investment Officer at Addax Capital, a FSA-registered alternative investment firm, specializing in foreign exchange based in London. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Tufts University in Medford, MA, as well as an MBA from IESE Business School in Barcelona. Based in Europe, Frederick is a registered principal with the NFA and Associate Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (UK). In addition to his role with MatadorFX, Frederick is Executive Vice President of Laboratorios LETI and serves as a non-executive Director on the board of Calzados Royalty.
